Emergency Preparedness
With the events of the past two years more and more people are starting to wonder if they are prepared for additional shortages like those experienced in 2020. What would be needed if shortages extended from days to weeks, to months? Additionally, what items and skills would be needed if being your own first responder no longer was a stopgap while waiting for emergency services to arrive but instead you are the only responder period?
This class will examine the ‘real world’ likelihood of various levels of interruptions of support services (food, water, power, septic) and emergency services (police, medical, fire). What would be your basic plan and what would you need for each level of interruption. The course will include detailed reasonable suggestions for each level of interruption (days to weeks, month, potentially permeant) would require.
