ID REQUIREMENTS FOR RANGE USE
US Citizens and Permanent Residents must provide a valid government-issued photo ID, such as:
- US Federal- or State-issued ID or Driver’s License
- US Passport
- US Military ID
- US Permanent Resident Card (“Green Card”)
Valid ID must be an unexpired physical document in your possession.
- NOTE: A photograph, photocopy or electronic representation of an ID is NOT a valid form of identification.
Foreign nationals from countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program must provide national ID or passport.

Please note that neither Canada nor Mexico are participants in the VWP. For residents of Canada or Mexico, the visa requirement has been waived by other federal regulations. See 22 C.F.R. § 41.2(a), (g) (2011). Canadian citizens must provide a passport or Canadian driver’s license. Mexican citizens must provide a passport or Border Crossing Card.
Foreign nationals from non-Visa Waiver Program countries must provide a national ID or passport AND a valid hunting license from any US state.
Per US federal law, an alien admitted to the United States under a non-immigrant visa is prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing a firearm or ammunition unless the alien falls within one of the exceptions provided in 18 U.S.C. 922(y)(2), such as: a valid hunting license or permit, admitted for lawful hunting or sporting purposes, certain official representatives of a foreign government, or a foreign law enforcement officer of a friendly foreign government entering the United States on official law enforcement business.
